Adult Appointments

A typical first visit is an hour and a half, and will involve Dr. Miller performing a thorough intake to get to know all elements of your health and lifestyle. She will get an understanding of what your goals are, so that your visits and treatment plans will be as comprehensive and individualized as possible.

From here she will take an evidence based approach to be your personal health researcher, and create a unique treatment plan that is specific to you. She will take your full symptom presentation alongside your lifestyle and emotional health, and combine it with any healthy data you may already have such as lab work from your MD. She may also request additional lab testing to get a specific picture of your health if this is something that you both agree upon. At the end of the first visit Dr. Miller will often start with a preliminary treatment plan that may involve nutrient tracking tools, lab requisitions, and minor dietary and lifestyle changes. She will also provide you with a roadmap of how she will help you achieve your health goals while working together.

The second visit will usually be a few weeks after the initial visit to give you a chance to implement some of the recommendations, as well as allow Dr. Miller to analyze your labs/ health data and create a precise treatment plan. You can expect to leave the second visit with your health questions answered, and a thorough plan that may involve dietary and lifestyle changes, nutrient or herbal supplements, and educational tools best suited for you. For most patients it is expected that 3-5 visits are all you should need to be able to achieve your health goals. Most importantly, you are in the driver’s seat of your health, so Dr. Miller will work alongside what you feel most comfortable with in achieving your health goals.

Pediatric Appointments

Pediatric initial assessments are for children 12 years old and under, as they are kept to 1 hour for accessibility. This visit will involve a thorough review of your child’s medical history, dietary habits, mental health and lifestyle. From here your naturopathic doctor will come up with a personalized child-friendly plan to address their concerns and health goals. Follow-up visit length and frequency are individually tailored to the child’s needs.

Dr. Elizabeth Miller Naturopathic Doctor

Your Doctor: Meet Dr. Elizabeth Miller

I discovered naturopathic medicine after struggling with chronic irritable bowel syndrome for many years. I saw multiple doctors with no solution, as IBS was not well understood at the time. I felt dismissed by my doctors after being told I would just have to live with the symptoms.

Not willing to give up, I continued to dig for a solution to my problems. I decided to take my health into my own hands, and devoted my master’s thesis to IBS research. I also began working with a naturopathic doctor who really helped me find solutions to alleviate the discomfort I was feeling.

After being exposed to the immense benefit of naturopathic medicine, I decided to pursue it as a career for myself. I always knew that being a naturopathic doctor was the perfect fit for me, as I am fulfilled by helping people reach a level of health that they did not think was possible. I wanted to help other women struggling with their health, and give them solutions while allowing them to feel heard.

Today my goal in working with you is to allow you to feel heard by your doctor, while addressing all aspects of your mind and body in treating your health. Blending the balance of nutrition, modern research, lab testing and traditional medicine is a skill that I continue to master as I am always eager to learn more in this profession. I deeply believe that our bodies are built to heal, and with the right tools, you can accomplish this too!
