
Super Snack | A balance of indulgence and nutrition
This is an adaptation from one of my favourite childhood homemade snacks, and I definitely see it as a delicious indulgence. But! Sometimes my patient visit schedule is just so packed that I don’t have more than 5 minutes to eat between the start and end of my shift, and this is a great nutrient-dense option that is quickly consumed! I also pair it with a cup of chai rooibos tea to which I add collagen and organic unsweetened soy milk.
With this delicious snack I’m getting over 20g of protein, lots of healthy fats, tons of vitamin E and vitamin K which can be tricky nutrients to get in, and lots of great minerals as well.
That’s a lot of fat you think? Meh, I’m not worried about eating fat. Dietary fat is important for hormonal and neurological health, and keeps your gallbladder healthy and active.

3 tbsp almond butter
1 tbsp chia seed
1 tbsp coconut
1 tbsp chocolate chips
