Lauren Follett is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and Yoga Instructor. Her passion is transforming people’s relationship with food through habit formation, mindful eating strategies, and helping them make better choices to live a healthier life, and feel and look their best.
Lauren is dedicated to working closely with her clients to access nutritional imbalances, habits and lifestyle. She provides guidance on food choices, supplements and shares meal plans and recipes that fit with the client’s schedule. Using a holistic and phased approach, she helps clients make long-term, sustainable changes to live a healthy, balanced lifestyle.
Lauren graduated with honors in June 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario, and started a job in corporate marketing in downtown Toronto. Over the five years that she worked there, she started to notice that she didn’t feel her best even though she thought she was healthy; exercising like crazy, eating “sugar-free” or “fat-free” foods, calorie-reduced frozen dinners and drinking diet coke. She became sick and tired of feeling sick and tired, and she became interested in learning more about nutrition.
She started to cook using fresh, whole foods, and she developed a new balanced relationship with eating. Her transformation turned into a passion for nutrition and cooking. She quit her corporate job at the bank, and enrolled in the distance education program at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. In 2010, she and her husband decided to travel through South America while she studied. She earned her Registered Holistic Nutritionist (RHN) designation in December 2012. Lauren is a member of the CSNN Alumni Association, and completed her Yoga Teacher Training in 2018 and is an active yoga teacher in her community.
