What is a naturopath/naturopathic doctor?
At Sequence Wellness our naturopathic doctors practice as personal health researchers. Our patients come in looking for answers (often after the typical health care system has left them confused and with questions unanswered), and we do the intensive intake, lab testing, and nutritional calculations required to accurately determine the root cause of what is contributing to their health concerns.
We care and we are curious!
Many of our patients are thrilled even by the end of our first appointment, even before a proper treatment plan has been rolled out. They are happy because we have listened! We have thoroughly heard what they have to say, and we’ve dug deeper to get to the nooks and crannies of their case so that we can effectively figure out how all of their symptoms are connection, what the root cause actually is.
At the end of the first visit we do a structured review of the patient’s case, so that they see the big picture of how everything ties together. We then usually provide the patient with requisitions for appropriate lab testing, likely a nutrient calculation tool, and a preliminary plan to get the ball moving while we await the test results. In our second visit we review all of the relevant information and put together a comprehensive plan.
Our patients leave our care well informed about their health and feeling better. This is a more important goal than only focusing on symptom relief because when people know what “healthy” feels like, they quickly notice when things are falling out of whack, and therefore do the assessment and treatment needed in the rapid timeline which allows for long-term disease prevention.
See a naturopath (aka regulated naturopathic doctor) when you want answers and when you want to truly get well.
